The beautiful bay of Torre dell’Orso is one of the most stunning beaches in the world, and it hosts an exclusive beach establishment, “I CARAIBI DEL SALENTO“, which welcomes guests of The Village Salento. A crystal-clear sea, fine white sand, and a lush pine forest frame a magnificent cove.
The beach establishment is located on the right side of the bay, the most picturesque part, as it faces the famous sea stacks, “the Two Sisters” of Torre dell’Orso.
The Marine of Melendugno earn the prestigious BLUE FLAG award every year. This recognition is awarded annually by the FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education) to locations that excel in environmental protection, strive for environmental compatibility, and improve their hospitality and quality of tourism services.
Our services: beach, lifeguard assistance, Two bars (one on the beach and one at the entrance of the facility), shuttle service, picnic area, entertainment, infirmary, changing rooms, restrooms, play area, job service for people with disabilities, and a staff always at your disposal. The team will keep guests pleasantly entertained with water games and beach activities for a vacation focused on fun, relaxation, and sports.
The beach is reached by village guests via a dedicated train that runs every half hour from the village to the beach and back until 7:00 PM (with a break from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM). Available to customers
The beach showers operate with a token costing €0.50.

RESTAURANT PIZZERIA CAFETERIA “EL CHIRINGUITO”
Not just a beach club but also a cafeteria and à la carte restaurant. El Chiringuito is a restaurant/pizzeria and cafeteria open every day for lunch, offering traditional Salentine cuisine, excellent pizza, and tasty cocktails. A versatile restaurant that will delight the palate of all guests.

The animation team is ready for those who want to fully immerse themselves in their vacation. They are dedicated to keeping guests happily engaged with water games and beach activities, ensuring a vacation filled with fun, relaxation, and sports.
Bar
A meeting place, a hub of entertainment, and a spot for true coffee delights and more. At the bar of “I Caraibi del Salento,” you can enjoy excellent coffee made by our skilled bartenders every day, including the delightful “caffè salentino”, which is iced coffee with almond milk (a must-try!). You’ll find products from the Salentine rotisserie, including sandwiches, toast, focaccia, and much more. Until the first faint lights of sunset, when a refreshing mojito will make your day at the beach even more delightful.
Shuttle Train
Guests of The Village Salento can reach the beach every day via a convenient train that runs every half hour (from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM) from the village to the beach and back.
Shower
To rinse off the salt after a day at the beach, our guests can use the convenient beach shower available on-site.
The use of the shower requires a token costing €0.50.
The “Chiringuito” Restaurant at I Caraibi del Salento
Typical Cuisine, À La Carte Dining, and Hot Table Service The Chiringuito will be the ideal place to enjoy excellent lunches (closed for dinner).
For an exceptional “beach break” or for those who prefer not to return to the village, as well as for guests who have chosen the Half Board option at the village, you can opt to enjoy the delicious cuisine of the Chiringuito, prepared with care and love for local products.
